Running QuickImage
QuickImage is a Windows-based product and must be run from your hard disk.

From the Windows Start menu, click Programs
PowerQuest Drive Image 5.0
QuickImage.
The PowerQuest QuickImage main screen appears.
First, you create a QuickImage definition, which determines which partitions to back
up, the path and filename for the image file, and other options for the backup you
want to create. After you create the definition, you can schedule a task to create or
restore image files.
For information about using QuickImage, see “QuickImage” on page 11.
Running Drive Image DOS
You can run Drive Image DOS from the hard disk or a floppy diskette.
Running Drive Image from a Hard Disk

Shut down applications you are running under Windows.

Click Start
Programs
PowerQuest Drive Image 5.0
Drive Image 5.0.
A prompt appears to tell you that all programs will be shut down, so Drive Image can
run in DOS mode.

Click Yes to continue.
You may need to wait a moment before Windows shuts down. Then Drive Image reboots
using PowerQuest’s Virtual Floppy™ technology, and the Drive Image DOS main screen
appears.
You may need to modify the virtual floppy to make Drive Image DOS run properly if you
have a removable media device such as a Zip or Jaz drive. See “Editing the Virtual Floppy
Disk” on page 92.
Running Drive Image from Rescue Diskettes

Insert a bootable diskette (such as the first Drive Image rescue diskette).
To create a boot diskette and a Drive Image floppy (rescue diskettes), see “Installing
on an OS/2 or DOS-Only Computer” on page 5.
