Appendix B: Setting Up Removable Storage Devices100
If the following conditions exist, the device driver will not be loaded into memory and the
message “Driver not loaded” will display.
• No ASPI manager loaded
• Cannot find MO drive (with or without a disk inserted)
• Driver already loaded
IMPORTANT!
The SMARTDRV cache is turned off by default for MO disk drives. If you
attempt to write data to a write-protected disk while the SMARTDRV
write cache is on, you will need to reset the computer.
