Installing Jumpers – AUA-5100 only

The Adaptec AUA-5100 adapter has six USB connectors—

one

internal and five external. However, only five connectors

can be

used at any one time. You can control which connectors are enabled

(usable) by setting a jumper.

The adapter is shipped with a jumper installed so that all five

external connectors are enabled and the internal connector is

disabled. You can change this default setting and enable the

internal connector by moving the jumper, as shown below.

When you move the jumper to enable the internal

connector, you disable this external connector.

Default jumper location –

All external connectors are enabled,

Internal connector is disabled.

Optional jumper location –

Top external connector is disabled,

Internal connector is enabled
